Each bike is different and so there is no set rule of thumb, but it sounds like you do indeed need to go up to a different jet size. I would say to start by going up 10 from whatever your stock jet is and then adjusting from there. I am not sure what is stock on the Euro model. And definitely check the spark plug when you change. BTW: I have a 1997 Savage US model with Raask pipe, spacer removed, main jet of 155, and approx. 1 1/2-2 turns of the mixture screw.
